The wonderful people of Coslenses were nice enough to send me samples of 3 of their colored contact lenses to try out and wear with my cosplay. I’m modeling 3 of my favorite type of colored lenses, Geo Tri Series.
The Geo Tri Series have become my go to lenses because of the natural look they create. Unlike many colored or circle lenses, these really blend into your natural color and don’t enlarge noticeably. This creates a believable look. Unlike many enlarging lenses, you don’t need heavy eye makeup to balance out the impression of the lenses. If you want a 'fool you' kind of realism to a color change for a cosplay, the Tri Series is the best I've used!
I have light colored eyes, and lenses blend strangely with them sometimes. Thankfully the Geo Tri Series work well on a full range of eye colors.
The blue (CM-904) The blue are darker and more vibrant than my own eyes, so I’ll certainly use these for blue eyed characters in the future.
The green (CM-903) are actually the same lenses I use for Saber. Unlike other types that create a bight, artificial green, these pick up the natural color in my own eyes and blend very believably. I feel like they blend with my real eye color best.
The brown (CM-902) I just love these! I’ve had such a hard time finding believable brown contacts and have tried many that did not impress me. These look so convincing! From a few feet distance, you’d think I have brown eyes!
Eventually I hope to try the entire color range from this series because of how natural they look on my eyes. If you are looking for contacts that change your eye color but not in a cartoony or drastic way, the Geo Tri Color are very worth trying!
You can get them from Coslenses.com in prescription powers for a great price (and the staff are super sweet!)
