Y-con 2010 concluded yesterday and despite not being a fan of the subject matter, I had a good time! It was my first official time at the convention. I was really honored to be invited to be a judge for the Masquerade. Congrats to all the winners! It was a really entertaining evening with a lot of good skits!
I brought two new costumes to NanDesuKan, Misato from NGE and Mirai Suenaga, Culture Japan’s mascot. Cosplay pages are up for both of them now! I met a lot of very sweet cosplayers at this Colorado convention, and hope to run into some of you guys again. Thanks for making my convention so nice! I also had the the chance to do a photoshoot with DayDreamerNessa after we participated as cosplay judges at the San Fransisco J-Pop Festival held at the New People building in SF’s JapanTown.
Sac Anime concluded this last weekend and despite the heat, it was a fun convention! I was happy to participate this year as a judge along with friends, DayDreamerNessa and Kasou. We were joined by the very awesome (and very nice) Seifer Sama and Eric Virgin. We had a lot of fun! I want to extend a lot of thanks to Katie Bair for organizing and running the contest! She put in a great amount of effort to make sure the contest went well and did a wonderful job.
AX has ended and I’m happy to say it was the best Anime Expo I’ve attended. The new additions to the Nokia Center really add to the convention experience. It was wonderful to see the live performances from the hotel window and to experience them outside. The hotel was just a short walk and was a pleasure to stay at. Food was so easy to find for a change and not having to deal with shuttles was awesome! I took 4 costumes to the convention, but ended up wearing mostly just one. It wasn’t anything flashy but it was great to be comfortable for a change XD Photos should be up shortly.
