(Fate/Stay Night)

I have two versions of this costume. My first was made in 2009, and a newer version crafted in 2011. Some parts from the 2011 costume are taken from my original one, but much is new including the dress, sword and chestplate. The materials used for my armor are Sintra and craft foam. The chestplate is held to the dress by magnets. The side panels disassemble to make it easier to travel and screw on to the waistband.

Saber’s Excalibur was made of balsa sheets sanded and filed to shape with with some wood putty and wood glue .

I drafted the pattern for Saber’s dress myself. The shoulders are held up with thick interfacing.

This was my first time styling a wig into a bun. I purchased an unstyled wig from a local wig store. I created wefts from a pack of loose hair and used the rest to create the braid.
